Training
I am dedicated to the teaching of Pekiti-Tirsia
Kali as it has been taught to me without mixing it with other martial
arts. This keeps it pure. PTK is a family art that has been passed
down to Supreme Grandmaster Leo Gaje from Grand Tuhon Conrado B. Tortal. Training focuses on combat skill
specific conditioning that develops the mental and physical attributes
necessary for edged/impact weapons combat.
Attributes are developed within the footwork drills and weapons drills
of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali. This is
achieved by following the Training Phases and Process, which consists of the
following: (1) Individual Execution
and Training, (2) Combat Drills, and (3) Combat Sparring. Of course, first comes the mental and
physical mastery of oneself and their weapon.
Self-control is the key. Regularly
scheduled training sessions: Tuesday 8:30-9:45p.m. Thursday 8:30-9:45p.m.
Sunday 11-12:30p.m. Training
